UTSC Library Makerspace Newsletter

Issue 10, October 2021

Welcome to the Fall term! We have some exciting updates and new resources to highlight.

The great news is that we are able to re-open physically to the UofT community. The Makerspace is open Mondays and Thursdays 10am-5pm. We will expand the hours/days throughout the semester so watch our social media channels for updates.

Due to the Library’s renovations, the Makerspace has moved to AC 256, which is still in the library. Based on user feedback, we have also updated our website as well as our equipment booking system. We would love to get your impressions on both as we hope to make your experience access the Makerspace easier.

We also have a brand new 3D printer. Check out the Resource Spotlight below for all the details.

Dremel 1
We now have the Dremel 3D45 printer in the Makerspace. This award-winning 3D printer is highly rated for its usability and high-quality prints. We anticipate our users will enjoy the heated and self-leveling build plate as well as the enclosed build chamber which will reduce warping. Another perk is the flexibility to print in both ABS and PLA. Be one of the first to experience our latest printer.
