Cricut Maker

A Cricut is a cutting machine that cuts designs out of many kinds of material types. Some things you can create using Cricut include greeting cards, art cards, labels, custom t-shirts and hats, paper flowers, bookmarks, signs and wall art.

The Makerspace has card stock and vinyl upon request (and within reason). You will have to provide any other material you would like to use. See the list of materials available to use with the Cricut Maker.  Make sure that the Makerspace has the correct tool for your material type.  The attachments we currently have are: Fine Point Blade, Engraving Tip Blade, Scoring Wheel, Deep Point Blade and Fine Point Pens in a rainbow of colours. Note: it is $1.25 per print & cut stickers sheet.

The software is Cricut Design Space. It is recommended that you create your account. You can create a design before your Makerspace booking, or design while in the space; however, you cannot use the equipment beyond your booked time.  Before you cut, test the design on regular paper.

Training material includes the Cricut YouTube  and Cricut Learn.
